Scorcher
“This heartless monster stupidly scratches its butt as if neither death nor the Starfall could come between it and its pleasure.”

Characteristics
The Scorcher is a hulking Elite Deviant, its massive body filled with boiling paraffin. Its head resembles a rocket engine nozzle, though it functions in ways unlike any known man-made machinery. The Scorcher’s oversized head has not fully fused with its body, instead retaining several twisted, finger-like digits that allow it to move independently when detached.

Behavior
Scorchers are often found patrolling industrial sites or sitting idle, exuding an air of indifference
AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIORS
When the Scorcher encounters its prey, it ignites the paraffin within its body, launching scorching flames from its head to reduce its victims to ashes. “Splitting up” is this Deviant’s specialty. When it suffers irreparable damage, its head detaches from its failing body to flank the enemy. These two frenzied sources of fire can instantly transform a radius of several meters into a sea of flames.
Weaknesses
To deal maximum damage, focus attacks on the glowing section of the Scorcher’s furnace-like head. If the fight drags on and the Scorcher’s head detaches, quickly target the exposed wound at the top of its body where the head was once connected. Neutralizing both parts efficiently is critical to surviving this volatile foe.
