Glutton - Once Human

GLUTTON

“When a Glutton collapses from having its pockets of Stardust destroyed, it will open its petals to collect Stardust from the surrounding air to repair its damaged limbs.”

Characteristics

The Glutton is a fearsome deviant found across various regions of Nalcott. These creatures lack a traditional head structure; instead, they feature a large fissure resembling a flower bud, which serves as both a mouth and a weapon for attacking and consuming prey. A Glutton’s mouthparts, resembling petals, continuously open and close as they regulate the flow of tissue fluid throughout their bodies. When a Glutton prepares to spread Stardust, its mouthparts bloom like a flower in full bloom.

Entity Variation

While most Gluttons stand at 2-3 times the height of an average human, Glutton Titans can also be found roaming Nalcott. These titan variants tower upwards of 10 times the size of their smaller counterparts. The mechanism differentiating common Gluttons from Glutton Titans remains unknown, though several theories exist—ranging from the abilities of the human host to a possible secondary mutation triggered by Stardust.

Behavior

In the absence of enemies or prey, Gluttons appear relatively docile, slowly pacing their territory and pausing occasionally to sense their surroundings. However, when threatened or in a predatory state, Gluttons become highly aggressive.

AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIORS

  • Psionic Shockwaves: Generate powerful shockwaves by stomping or slamming their fists on the ground.

  • Stardust Spores: Launch Stardust projectiles that home in on prey and create puddles from which smaller Deviants emerge.

  • Physical Attacks: Charge at and bash nearby enemies with immense force.

Weaknesses

Destroying the glowing Stardust growths on their legs will disorient the Glutton, temporarily causing it to collapse to its knees. This exposes the vulnerable weak spot within its mouthparts, making it significantly easier to inflict damage.
